Wisdom Tooth Extraction Whitney
Preventing Wisdom Teeth from Causing Harm

The third molars, also known as wisdom teeth, were important to our distant ancestors, but today, many people simply don’t have enough room for them. These teeth often become impacted, failing to erupt through the gums and causing intense pain. They can also emerge at an odd angle and push against other teeth, shifting them out of alignment. If you or a loved one is in need of wisdom tooth extraction, our team is here to help—just contact us to learn more or set up an appointment.

The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process

On the day of your extraction, the area will be completely numbed, and we also offer sedation options for patients who want to feel extra relaxed. Once you're comfortable, we gently loosen and remove each wisdom tooth, taking care to minimize disruption to the surrounding tissue. If the teeth are above the gumline, they can be removed with special instruments, and if they’re still below the gums, surgical extraction will be used. Afterward, we'll send you home with detailed aftercare instructions and everything you need to know to heal smoothly and comfortably in the days that follow.
